A task only one or two people know how to do
Converting documents, formatting materials, preparing the same report every month: expert work that bottlenecks on the expert, and stops when they are away.
For nonprofits
The Rocket Phonics Foundation had a task only two people knew how to do, and it limited how much reading material they could put in front of struggling readers. We built them a desktop app that does it in seconds, at an AI cost measured in dollars, in software they own outright. Most nonprofits have a task like that.

Creating Rocket Phonics meant typing every prompt by hand, months of work as the program grew past 600 pages. SkyRock Agency LLC automated that with AI, and it now takes minutes. We're grateful.
The problem
Three kinds of task we see in nonprofits across the Gulf Coast.
Converting documents, formatting materials, preparing the same report every month: expert work that bottlenecks on the expert, and stops when they are away.
Grant guidelines into first drafts, donor letters personalized by the hundred, and the same ticket and volunteer questions answered again and again.
Per-seat monthly tools add up fast on a nonprofit budget, and your data ends up living in someone else's system.
Case study
The Rocket Phonics Foundation, led by Stephen Guffanti, MD, helps struggling young readers in Sarasota and Manatee Counties through one-on-one tutoring. Rocket Phonics is their custom phonetic notation, and every story, worksheet and reading passage had to be converted into it by hand, word by word. Only a couple of people knew how.
We built SkyRock RocketPhonics, a desktop app for Windows, Mac and Linux. A tutor selects any English text file and gets a print-ready Rocket Phonics document in seconds. A dictionary lookup and a mapping engine built from 1,140 words the Foundation had already translated handle most of the text with no AI cost at all; Claude AI steps in only for the words the mapping is not sure about, and each result carries a confidence score the tutor controls.
The result: hours of expert annotation became a single click, at a per-document AI cost measured in dollars. The Foundation pays for AI through its own account, and because it is a desktop tool there is no hosting bill. Delivered August 2026.
Also from the team: "This is astonishing to me, that Jeffrey can make AI do such good work. Even if I need to edit the prompting, having this base work done is a BIG help!" Maureen Guffanti, Communications Director, Rocket Phonics Foundation
How we work with nonprofits
We build the tool as software you own, as a desktop app or on your own systems where that makes sense, so there is no licence from us to keep paying. You use your own AI account and see every cent. Support and training are there if you want them, not a condition.
We also run a 90-minute hands-on AI workshop for your team ($249), and we speak to boards, clubs and associations for free.
Next step
Three steps, none of them a commitment. The five-step ladder with prices is on the homepage, and the two-minute AI readiness check is a good place to start.
The one that only Pat knows how to do, or the letter you write two hundred times a year. Describe it to us in plain words.
We tell you plainly whether AI helps, what it would take, and what it would cost. “Not yet” is an honest answer.

Questions
The Rocket Phonics app runs on the Foundation's own computers at a per-document AI cost measured in dollars. The build itself is a fixed-price pilot, and the price depends on what you need built: we quote it after the free meeting, and we will tell you plainly if a simpler route would serve you better. The team workshop is $249, and talks to boards and volunteer groups are free.
No. The app ships with installers for Windows, Mac and Linux, a settings screen, a progress bar and short tutorial videos, so the team uses it without a developer in the room. Run & train is there if you want a person to call.
You do. It is delivered as software you own and can run on your own computers, with your own AI account, and the source is yours.
Yes. First drafts from grant guidelines, donor letters personalized from a spreadsheet, and answering routine questions are the most common nonprofit projects. Your people review everything before it goes out.
